Rhino in africa. Photo Safari With Magnus Nyman

Join an exciting photo safari in South Africa. Here we find BIG FIVE and many more animals.

-You probably, just like me, have dreamed of meeting the big animals of Africa. To see a living rhino's live. To sit by the fire and hear the lion roar out in the dark. Or to see the athletic cheettah, with its camouflage dots, in the yellow grass.

In October, Magnus takes a small group on a photo safari in one of South Africa's larger private reserves. It is a journey entirely focused on photography. Morning and evening it's Game Drive.

Big Five
The Big Five is from the beginning a hunter term for five big wildlife on the African savannah. They are Leopard, Lion, Elephant, Rhino and African Buffalo. These were considered to be the most dangerous animals to hunt on foot. There are two kinds of rhinoceros on the reserve. Both the white and the black.

Living in the middle of the reserve.
We live in a small lodge on the banks of the river in the middle of the reserve. Here the animals live right in front of the houses.
Accommodation is in a two bed room. All rooms have shower and toilet.

Lion by Magnus Nyman

Few people in every jeep.

In order to make your photo tour as good as possible, the number of photographers in each jeep is very limited. This means that a photographer gets a complete back seat for himself and can photograph both to the right and left.

Lots of time for photography. To sit and wait at a water hole or wait for the lion to move from his rest is the way to get better pictures. Patience pays off.

Knowledgeable guides.

Our guides work with research and study of the animals in the reserve and have lots of facts to tell us.

Talks on the days.

During the days, Magnus holds talks about photography and our guides about the animals and activities in the reserve.

Feedback and photographic advice.

Everyday, there is a chance to get tips and help with their camera and photography tips.
